The technical innovations include an optional dual-clutch sports transmission for the 156 hp 2.2 DI-D diesel variant and the new entry-level version 2.0 MIVEC 2WD with a 147 hp petrol engine and front-wheel drive from 21,990 euros. The 2.4-liter gasoline engine with 170 hp and all-wheel drive is available from 28,990 euros. The two-liter diesel with 140 hp and all-wheel drive is also available for the same price. The 156 hp 2.2-liter turbodiesel all-wheel drive costs at least 31,990 euros. The new Mitsubishi Outlander will be available at dealerships from March 2010.
In April 2009, Mitsubishi had already shown the Outlander GT concept car in the USA, which anticipated the facelift. In the USA, the GT model was combined with a potent V6 petrol engine.
