T he Japanese automaker is starting the new year with an expanded range. The two off-road series Pajero and L200 are being revised. The new basic model Pajero Inform, which is offered at significantly reduced prices, is aimed specifically at household users and price-conscious globetrotters. The three-door model costs 29,900 euros, the five-door Pajero Inform is on the list with a price of 32,900 euros.

Externally The new basic models are recognizable by their 17-inch steel wheels. However, Mitsubishi Germany did not save on equipment. The four-wheel drive vehicles are equipped with the Super Select four-wheel drive of the expensive variants and have automatic air conditioning, central locking with remote control, window lifters and electrified exterior mirrors on the way. ESP and traction control are also standard. The Inform versions are only available with a five-speed manual transmission, an automatic is not offered. Mitsubishi specifies the consumption figures as 8.0 liters for the three-door and 8.2 liters of diesel for the five-door.
The Mitsubishi Pajero was completely overhauled last summer, which is special in the engine compartment shows: The 3.2-liter four-cylinder now delivers 200 hp and 441 Newton meters. This makes the large off-road vehicle attractive for trailer operation. Even the short Pajero can take three tons on the hook, with the five-door the maximum trailer load is 3.5 tons.
Mitsubishi L200 in revised version
A second new addition is the Pickup L200 in its facelift version. A new multifunction steering wheel, a new cockpit cladding and a multifunction display await in the interior. The seats should offer more lateral support with improved upholstery. In the top version, Intense, there is also a light /rain sensor series. In addition, the loading area of the double cab has been extended by 18 centimeters. Rear-wheel drive L200s are now also available as basic versions (single cab from 18,990 euros). The top model Intense with double cab can be ordered with an electronically controlled five-step automatic.
