For the standard equipment of the M itsubishi i-MIEV include air conditioning, power windows and exterior mirrors, and central locking with remote control. The safety equipment includes driver and front passenger airbags, side and head airbags, ABS with brake assist, electronic stability and traction control and ISO-Fix brackets on the rear seats.

Commercial customers show great interest

Mitsubishi Motors grants a guarantee of five years up to 100,000 kilometers for the battery and the most important electrical components such as the inverter and motor.

Mitsubishi is not worried about sales of electric cars. 'The demand for the i-MiEV is huge, 'says Martin van Vugt, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors Germany. 'We see enormous potential for electric vehicles in the coming years, especially in the B2B sector. We are currently developing a monthly leasing rate that includes taxes, insurance and maintenance costs.'
