M ini stops the new Clubman series a performance model. The Mini Clubman John Cooper Works makes its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
New Mini Clubman John Cooper Works comes with 231 hp
The most distinctive feature of the Mini Clubman JCW is under the bonnet. As in the other JCW models, this is where the new two-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine with 231 hp and 350 Nm of torque resides. This can be combined with either a manual six-speed gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. The choice of gearbox does not play a role in terms of performance. Either way, the Mini Clubman JCW sprints to 100 km /h in 6.3 seconds and reaches a maximum of 238 km /h. When it comes to standard consumption, the automatic is ahead with 6.8 to 7.4 liters.
The features of the Mini Clubman JCW also include a weight and efficiency-optimized version of the all-wheel drive with electrohydraulic control, LED main headlights , an adaptive cruise control, park beeper, preselectable drive programs, a multifunction steering wheel, a Brembo sports brake system with red painted saddles and 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/40 tires. 19 incher and adaptive dampers are optional.
JCW look for the Clubman
Of course, the JCW also stands out optically from its more civilian brothers. The front apron has larger outer air intakes instead of position lights and fog lights, and a hexagonal radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern and red cross brace and JCW logo extends above it. The rear bears a roof edge spoiler, the wide rear apron integrally bears the sloping tailpipes of the twin-pipe sports exhaust system. The side skirts have been redesigned.
JCW flair is also spreading in the interior. Black sports seats are combined with a black headliner, JCW door sills, special applications, stainless steel pedals and JCW display content in the instruments.
Prices for the new top version of the Mini Clubman have not yet been announced.
