Mercedes SL Edition' Mille Miglia 417 'as SL 400 and SL 500

D he Mercedes SL Edition' Mille Miglia 417 'is optically characterized by red accents on the spoiler lip of the front apron and on the rear apron. Red-painted brake calipers also shimmer between the spokes of the light metal braids. These AMG wheels are 19-inch on the front axle and 20-inch on the rear.

The Mercedes SL 'Mille Miglia 417' is painted in black metallic, the special is available on request -SL also in special, matt black or white paintwork. As a contrast, Mercedes installed a small carbon rear spoiler. A small 'SL Mille Migila 417' lettering on the fenders also indicates the special model.

SL Edition 'Mille Miglia 417 From a surcharge of EUR 12,800

Technically, the Mercedes SL Edition 'Mille Miglia 417' shows itself from its series side. Customers can choose between the SL 400 with 6-cylinder engine and 333 hp and the SL 500 with V8 and 455 hp output - the latter already anticipates an increase in output from the 4.7-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine, which will also be shared with other 500 series models in the course of the year Active Body Control (ABC) on board.

In the interior, customers can look forward to AMG Line sport seats and the black center console with contrasting inlays and red piping. The leather headrests indicate the special edition out, the sports steering wheel is made of nappa leather in red and black with carb embossed. Speaking of which: the trim parts shimmer in matt carbon, the black floor mats are edged in red and have the embroidered label '1000 Miglia'.

The Mercedes SL Edition 'Mille Miglia 417' costs 14,800 euros extra as the SL 400, the SL 500 is available for an extra 12,800 euros. Both models can be ordered from April 7th.

Review: In 1955 private driver John Fitch and co-driver Kurt Gessl started the MIlle Miglia in a Mercedes SL with the starting number 417. After 11 hours, 29 minutes and 21 seconds, they crossed the finish line in fifth place overall and winner of the series sports car class after 1,597 kilometers.
