E in a bit more variety between the always The tuners from Vansports.de, a brand of Heinz Hartmann GmbH, bring similar-looking mobile homes with a tuned Mercedes Marco Polo Horizon Gravity-Glamper (glamping=glamor + camping). You have given it a sporty 'SUV look'. They also produced their own box system, which makes the V-Class the perfect camper for up to four people.

The Mercedes Benz Marco Polo Horizon is based on the current V-Class and is the medium-priced camper in the segment of the Stuttgart car manufacturer. The Horizon is located between the Marco Polo Activity based on the Vito and the full-fledged Marco Polo camping bus based on the V-Class. For their Gravity Glamper, the Vansports.de team used a Horizon 250 d 4Matic with 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, 190 PS and all-wheel drive. With the 300 d, the Marco Polo Horizon even has 239 hp to choose from. Vansports.de has also developed a lift kit for the all-wheel drive V-Class, which gives the vehicle 30 millimeters more ground clearance.

Gravity tuning ensures a sporty look

Attachments for the front, wheel arches and rear underline the sporty look.

The Marco Polo Horizon gets a sporty look with add-on parts from the VP Gravity range from Vansports.de. These include attachments for the front, wheel arches and rear, which contrast with the white vehicle paintwork in high-gloss black or metallic silver and underline the off-road character. In addition, there are side pipes painted in gloss black in the sill area. A black powder-coated aluminum rail with inlaid rubber stripsprotects the loading sill from unsightly scratches. The look is rounded off by the 19-inch wheels of the in-house design FIVE 2 in matt polished silver /black with tires in 245 /45R19.

Since the Marco Polo Horizon is naturally rather sparsely equipped for campers, the tuners have developed a box system for their 'glamping' version. It consists of two 117 centimeter long drawers that can each carry 100 kilos and are located in the rear under the back seat. There are three different aluminum loading boxes to match. If you also want to cook in the Gravity Glamper, you can order the kitchen box with twelve liter fresh and waste water cans and a small sink. It is connected to the 12-volt on-board power. However, you still have to pack a camping stove. The Glamper also includes practical window panniers and a foldable cold foam mattress with medium hardness for the foldable rear seat.

Faster installation and removal of the boxes

According to Vansports.de, the installation of the basic box takes about an hour. To secure it, a couple of removable screw connections are inserted into the floor rails. Once this one-off process has been completed, the complete installation or removal of the system should not take longer than ten minutes in the future. The demonstration vehicle is currently available for 58,990 euros. Customers with a Marco Polo Horizon can also have their vehicle converted to a Gravity Glamper at Vansports.de. However, there is no package price. Tuning the vehicle costs around 4542 euros in total and the camping components around 4420 euros.
