M ercedes ignites the in the new E-class first performance level and sends the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4Matic into the race to win the favor of sporty customers. The provisional top-of-the-range engine will be available from September 2016. The model can be ordered from June 20, although prices have not yet been specified. The Mercedes-AMG E 43 4Matic celebrates its premiere at the New York Auto Show.

The three-liter V6 biturbo engine in the AMG E 43 4 -Matic was brought to 401 HP and a maximum torque of 520 Nm with two new turbochargers, a boost pressure increased to 1.1 bar and new engine control software. The 1,765 kg (DIN) heavy E 43 4Matic completes the sprint from standstill to 100 km /h in 4.6 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited at 250 km /h. Mercedes specifies the standard consumption at 8.3 liters.

The all-wheel drive in the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4Matic is designed to emphasize the rear and comes with a torque distribution of 31:69 percent. The nine-speed automatic works with shorter shift times, and there is also a newly tuned sports suspension based on air suspension and a more directly translated steering system on board. The 5 levels of the Dynamic Select program offer driving dynamics on demand. Stop power is provided by 360 discs with four-piston calipers on the front axle and single-piston calipers at the rear.

E 43 in AMG look

The interior also has the AMG trim. The sports seats for the driver and front passenger are covered in man-made leather with red stitching. Sports pedals, a sports steering wheel, a black roof panel and red seat belts set further accents. The AMG look is rounded off by an instrument cluster with AMG-specific displays.
