A MG always stands for one portion at Mercedes Extra power and more driving dynamics. With the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé, the developers in Affalterbach have put more than just a fat engine into the new C Coupé. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé celebrates its premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt.

C 63 Coupé in two performance versions

Unsurprisingly, the new AMG all-purpose weapon is also in the front of the C 63 Coupé with eight cylinders, four liters displacement and two exhaust gas turbochargers. In the basic configuration, this conglomerate of performance parts delivers 476 hp and 650 Nm; if the S variant is selected, 510 hp and 700 Nm are available. In the C Coupé, these values ​​hit 1.7 to 1.8 tons and result in sprint times of between 3.9 and 4.0 seconds. The maximum speed is a regulated 250 km /h. If you invest in the AMG Driver's Package, the two-door cars can run at speeds of up to 290 km /h. It is shifted with the well-known seven-speed sports automatic transmission.

Thick jaws for a mighty appearance

So that this powerhouse and the new axles with a significantly wider track fit under the hood of the C Coupé, the two-door model had to endure a few changes. The doors, roof and trunk lid remained untouched. The front fenders laid out by 64 mm, the rear by 66 mm. The bonnet, which has been extended by 60 mm, has striking power domes, the front apron has powerful air inlets, additional flics and a front splitter. The flanks are provided with new rocker panels. The rear has an apron with a diffuser insert, tailpipe trims and side air outlets. A small spoiler lip accentuates the trunk lid. The AMG appearance is rounded off by 18-inch rims with 255/40 tires at the front and 285/35 rollers on the rear axle. The S version rolls on 19 inchers.

And because the cradle of the Mercedes AMG C 63 Coupé was in Affalterbach, the two-door model has plenty of driving dynamics Cutlery with. On board are the Ride Control chassis with adaptive dampers, Dynamic Select with various driving programs, a rear axle differential lock, dynamic engine mounts and an ESP that can be adjusted and deactivated. In addition to so much sportiness, the safety requirements are not neglected either. Here, too, the AMG is entirely Mercedes and offers everything in the C-Classavailable assistance and safety systems.

The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé will be available from March 2016. Prices have not yet been announced.
