D he middle class series is not only visually upgraded, but also gets engine updates, various improvements to the chassis and body for more comfort and less noise as well as new safety features. The European version of the Mazda 6 facelift will be available in German retail in summer 2018.
The facelift for the Mazda 6 will be subtle. At the front, the mid-range model gets a slightly larger radiator grille and newly designed headlights with standard LED technology and integrated fog lights. New lights are also used in the rear, in which the redesigned chrome strip on the trunk lid ends. The new rear bumper and enlarged exhaust tailpipes complement the changes at the rear. Newly designed 17- and 19-inch alloy wheels and the new special color magma red metallic round off the visual modifications.

The Mazda 6 gets a completely redesigned interior.
The interior of the Mazda 6 has been almost completely redesigned and presents itself once again significantly more elegant and of higher quality. For example, completely new seats with optional ventilation for the front seats are used. There are new fine wood trim and leather for the higher equipment lines. The head-up display and an enlarged display are also new.
Furthermore, the range of functions of the assistance systems is said to have been improved. The adaptive cruise control can now also brake the 6 Series to a standstill and then accelerate it again. There is also an optional 360-degree camera on board.
New turbo engine with 250 hp
The drive side was also refilled. The well-known 192 hp 2.5-liter gasoline engine is given to optimize consumptiona cylinder deactivation. For selected markets, the new 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine presented in the CX-9 crossover slides under the hood of the Mazda 6. It has an output of 250 hp and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. However, it is reserved for the US market and does not come to Europe.
