Greener Luxury cars in Abu Dhabi

W he wants to get an expensive car in Germany, it's really not easy for him. In direct comparison, the four-wheeled treasures can only be admired at large trade fairs or at exclusive luxury car dealers. But it can also be easier: In Abu Dhabi, a short walk to the front door is enough. Here, dreams on four wheels are part of the everyday street scene.
On the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we went on a photo stalk. Admittedly, it wasn't particularly difficult to get high-powered subjects in front of the lens. We found all the cars that you can admire in our large photo show on the ten-minute walk from the hotel to the race track on Yas Marina Island.
Super sports cars and monster SUVs in Abu Dhabi
Ob Ferrari Enzo, Aston Martin DBS, Mercedes SL 65 Black Series, Bentley or Rolls Royce - everything that can be bought for a lot of money is represented in Abu Dhabi. The sheik of today seems simply underpowered with less than 500 hp. Above all, powerful off-road vehicles populate the streets. Large SUV ships from Mercedes, BMW or Toyota are part of the street scene here, as is the case with us Golf, Astra and Focus.
Responsible for the automotive decadence in Abu Dhabi are, of course, the still lush oil wells. When looking at the many thirsty PS monsters, the thought arises that the sheikhs would like to consume the black gold all by themselves - and in the shortest possible time. Outlawed by the eco-group in Germany, Land Cruiser, G-Model or X6 are still proudly shown in Abu Dhabi.
Mercedes and Ferrari dominate
A real trend by brands and Models are difficult to make out. In the luxury segment, the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-series are the dominant models. The competition from Audi was not represented quite as numerous this year. At first glance, the Porsche Panamera also seems to be very popular with the Sheikhs of Abu Dhabi.
When it comes to sports cars, the field was in the truest sense of the word mixed up. Ferrari is known to be particularly popular in the Arab world. But Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche were also represented in large numbers. It is noticeable that there are hardly any older cars on the road. As soon as a new generation of models is on the market, it will be on the streets of Abu Dhabi. Alone the 200,000 Euro Ferrari 458 Italia, which has only been on the market for a year, we could in red,admire yellow and white.
