I n When it comes to car innovations, the LA Auto Show 2014 announces a total of 25 world and around 30 US premieres. Audi is planning a total of eight new launches, including three world premieres. Among other things, a spectacular study can be seen which, in coupé form, shows an outlook on the new design in general and the upcoming Audi A8 in particular. The concept car could also provide initial information about the new Audi A9. The facelift version of the Q3 should also make its debut. The R8 Competition is also set, a 570 hp special model with which the current R8 generation says goodbye to the US public.

Mercedes-Benz is showing three world premieres, including the M-Class Coupé and the long one Be a Mercedes S-Class with the Maybach suffix. BMW presents the X5 M and X6 M as well as the normal X6 and the 2-series convertible version. Porsche is part of the party with several world firsts. In addition to the Porsche 911 GTS, the Zuffenhausen-based company also has the Panamera Exclusive Series and the GTS version of the Cayenne in their luggage. The Cayman and Boxster facelift models may also be on display. Mazda is presenting three international debuts, including the new CX-9, and two world premieres are expected from Chevrolet.

Cadillac has already announced the world's first appearance of its 2015 ATS-V sports car; Chrysler is also preparing the presentation of its completely refreshed 300 and 300 C models. Volvo's new V60 Cross Country will be on display in L.A.

Scion has also announced the world premiere of a brand new vehicle. Other brands are positioning themselves with new international presentations, including Acura with the ILX, Lexus, Toyota and Volkswagen. In addition, Jaguar is likely to present the all-wheel drive version of the F-Type.

Furthermore, the Connected Car Expo (CCE) will take place for the second time as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014. The focus here is on the presentation of the latest mobility and connectivity systems - from Continental, Garmin, Ford and Volvo among others.

'Sensing the future - how will cars interact with us in 2029?' is also the exciting motto of the annual Design Challenge 2014, the winners of which will be announced at the L.A Auto Show. The makers have leading design studios for this purposethe manufacturer asked to design interior studies on the subject.
