L uxus sells, including the SUV and also in the compact segment. With the MKX, Lincoln wants to score points and win big on the North American market and in Asia. The technical substructure for the Lincoln MKX, which celebrates its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show, comes from the Ford Edge.

Lincoln MKX only with V6 engines

The look of the Lincoln was made with the Brand face upgraded. The large, two-part radiator grilles flank narrow headlights, which are also optionally available as full LED components. There are also various chrome trim, taillights drawn around the flanks, a roof spoiler and a twin-pipe exhaust system.

The interior attracts with electrically adjustable seats, two-tone leather, precious wood applications and brushed aluminum. The center console is dominated by a large touchscreen, which bundles numerous operating functions and, if required, integrates a smartphone. There is also a comprehensive sound system.

The drive is exclusively V6 engines. The basic engine is a 3.7-liter with 300 hp and 380 Nm, alternatively you can also use a 2.7-liter biturbo, which then provides 330 hp and 501 Nm of torque. In the basic configuration, the drive torque only flows to the front wheels; all-wheel drive is also available as an option. It is always shifted by six-speed automatic. The driving profile can be selected in three modes using the preselection switch.

The Lincoln MKX's safety features include adaptive cruise control, a pre-crash system, a lane departure warning system, a blind spot assistant and a cross traffic warning as well as 360 degree camera surveillance.
