T he new Land Rover Freelander presents itself with the newly designed The front as well as the newly designed rear section can be recognized. In the interior, the crew is greeted by the revised dashboard and the new seat covers.

New Freelander with start-stop system

The basic version has a 2.2-liter turbodiesel, which sends 150 hp to the front wheels. Compared to the all-wheel drive version, Land Rover proclaims a weight advantage of 75 kilograms. The SUV should be just as economical at the pump. The British promise a standard consumption of 6.0 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers (CO2: 158 g /km) and a top speed of 181 km /h. For the sprint from standstill to 100 km /h in the Land Rover Freelander eD4 11.7 seconds should pass.

In the more powerful version, the diesel engine sends 190 hp to all four wheels. The Freelander SD4 should accelerate to 100 km /h in 9.5 seconds and be up to 190 km /h. On average, the 190 PS diesel in the Freelander should consume 6.2 liters (CO2: 165 g /km; automatic: 7.0 l /100 km). This reduced consumption by nine percent compared to its predecessor. In connection with the manual six-speed gearbox, all diesel versions have a start-stop system as standard.

Land Rover Freelander with up to 233 hp

As before, the Land Rover Freelander is also available in the revised version of the 2011 vintage with the well-known, 233 hp 3.2-liter in-line six-cylinder. The latest version of the i6 petrol engine complies with the Euro5 emissions standard. Thanks to its maximum torque of 317 Nm, the straight-six should accelerate the Freelander to maximum country road speed in 8.9 seconds. The top speed is 200 km /h.

The prices for the 190 hp Land Rover Freelander TD4 start at 36,400 euros, the petrol engine is in the price list with at least 38,000 euros.
