S At Lamborghini, uperleggera stands for lightweight construction - lightweight construction that is good is for the driving dynamics and good for the power to weight ratio. To make it even more extreme than the production model, the V10 in the rear of the Gallardo has also been sustainably strengthened. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is allowed to present its new dream figure for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show.
The power-to-weight ratio of the Gallardo Superleggera is 2.35 kg /PS
And there is something to see rather less than more, because the LP 570-4 Superleggera has slimmed down by 70 kilograms to 1,340 kilograms. The exterior and interior components made of carbon fiber make a decisive contribution to this. The bonnet, the side skirts, the diffuser, the underbody paneling, the cover of the center tunnel and the seat shells are made of the noble material. The side and rear windows are made of polycarbonate. In the interior, lighter-weight Alcantara replaces the otherwise common leather.
The 5.2-liter V10 in the rear - like the normal Gallardo - has direct petrol injection, but has been converted to a new mapping and therefore has increased to 570 PS and 540 Nm maximum torque. This leads to a power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kg /hp. In addition, the new framework conditions also ensure reduced consumption - 13.5 liters on average and CO2 emissions of 319 g /km with an automated gearbox, 14.4 liters and 344 g /km with a manual transmission - and thus a whiter body of the super athlete. And because what is important for Gallardo fans is what comes out of the back, it should be mentioned that the LP 570-4 sprints from zero to 100 km /h in 3.2 seconds and is only slowed down by the driving resistance at 325 km /h.
Refined optics for the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
Adapted to the performance plus, the Gallardo LP 570-4 Supperleggera has a newly tuned chassis and ultra-light 19 inch rims with 235/35 tires at the front and 295 /30 tire rear. The front apron, the side strips, the underbody and the rear spoiler have also been redesigned. In addition, the Gallardo can be further upgraded with numerous options such as a ceramic brake system. However, the Italians have not yet announced prices for the new Gallardo top model. One thing is clear: for so much carbon fiber, plenty of coal should also wander over the table in the house.
