D er Personnel restructuring in the VW Group continues. After Stefano Dominicali was recently appointed as the new boss at the sports car manufacturer Lamborghini, the position of Head of Design at Lamborghini is now being filled.

Filippo Perini, who designs the Aventador and the Huracan at Lamborghini, among other things and was previously responsible for models such as the Alfa 8C or the Alfa 159, is moving as chief designer to VW subsidiary Italdesign Giugiaro. Perini will be replaced with effect from April 4, 2016 by the Porsche exterior design boss Mitja Borkert. The 42-year-old Borkert has drawn the Macan, the 718 Boxster and the Panamera Sport Turismo and Mission E studies, among others.

At Giugiaro, Perini succeeds Wolfgang Egger, who like Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio have left the company.
