I ntogether the show in the Californian metropolis expects more than 50 premieres, including 22 confirmed world premieres. Other focal points of the trade fair are again the topics of auto design and future technologies related to connected driving as well as the market segments of luxury vehicles, SUVs and sports cars.

Porsche Macan and new Mini

The trade fair highlight from a German perspective should be the new Porsche Macan, which is celebrating its world premiere in California. The small SUV should not only roll up the US market, it should also ensure a weight shift in the power play of sporty SUVs in Europe. The Porsche Turbo Cabrio, which is celebrating its world premiere as Turbo and Turbo S, also brings real power.

The Audi A3 sedan is making its US debut as a series model in the City of Angels. On the other hand, the world premiere of the BMW 4 Series Convertible, with which BMW rounds off the new 4 Series series, can be celebrated at the L.A. Auto Show. With the GT Vision, Mercedes is a hit for the GT 6 racing simulation. The power variant of the new S-Class, S65 AMG with the V12 under the hood, will be on display for the first time. In addition, the super sports car SLS, whose production will end in March 2014, will be presented as a Final Edition.

Mini will present the new Mini at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Hot Subaru

Of course the Americans and Asians are also represented at the L.A. Auto Show. Chevrolet brings the new Tahoe, the Colorado and the new Suburban. Cadillac shows the Escalade. Subaru is showing the new WRX as a production model and only as a sedan in Los Angeles. Ford has announced the SUV Edge as a world premiere.

Not to be forgotten is the annual design challenge, which the carmaker's design studios set out to implement future automotive topics. Topic 2013: Mobility Concepts of the Future.
