D he Klassikwelt Bodensee is now in its third year as a Fixed date in the classic car calendar. And for various reasons. The Klassikwelt Bodensee has a unique selling point that makes the Friedrichshafen event an ideal excursion destination in the three-country corner.

The location on Lake Constance and in the historically valuable city of Friedrichshafen combines the three elements. Classics of the air are shown here, historical ships and boats as well as of course the two and four-wheeled vintage cars.

The event fair Klassikwelt Bodensee

The additional attraction is the event character of the fair. The Klassikwelt Bodensee is an event to join in, to touch - to be amazed. Whether on the electric course, on which visitors can silently try out the technology of tomorrow, in the Segway slalom, on the boat trips on Lake Constance or the spectacular airshows that take place daily at 1.30 p.m. - the trade fair gives all visitors the opportunity to to participate.

Electric Avenue - the connection between yesterday and tomorrow

One of the highlights of the Klassikwelt Bodensee awaits visitors in Hall A1: 'the electric avenue' presents 111 years of electric mobility. There is a lot to discover from the record-breaking car that broke the 100 km /h mark for the first time in 1899, to a truck with an electric drive and the approaches of the major manufacturers from the last few decades.

In Hall A1, visitors can also try out electric vehicles. There is the electric vehicle test course and a slalom that you can drive through with the Segway scooters.

Special exhibitions worth seeing

Altogether there are more than 100 special shows on the Klassikwelt Bodensee. The DAVC (German Automobile Veteran Club) is showing a special exhibition on the subject of automobile design. Here some of the most important automobile designers are introduced with their most important creations. Claus Luthe with his NSU Ro80, for example, or Giovanni Michelotti with his Triumph TR5.

The special exhibition of the European Steamcar Association goes way back. It shows six historic steam cars. The oldest exhibit is a Waltham Runabout 5hp from 1901.

The special exhibition 'Belle Epoque' in Hall B5 shows some of the most beautiful vehicles in automotive history up to 1930;Bugatti represented.

The event fair - airshows, boat trips, rock'n'roll party and the Motor Klassik Klassik-Parade

The Klassikwelt Bodensee is particularly characterized by its event Character out. A varied supporting program is offered to the visitors. Spectacular air shows take place every day at 1.30 p.m., a shuttle service brings those interested from the exhibition center to the port, where historic motor boats can be boarded.

A highlight of the fair will take place on Saturday from 6:30 p.m.: The Classic Parade by Motor Klassik, at which around 140 oldtimers can be seen in action on a circuit through Friedrichshafen.
