B Both models are not sold in Europe. Here Kia already has the Cee'd on offer. The Forte is offered for the domestic market, China and North America. Kia has given the compact class car a fresh facelift for the Detroit Motor Show 2016.

Three equipment variants for Kia Forte

On the outside, the sedan has a new bumper, the extensive tiger nose grill - that's enough up to the headlights - and new rear lights upgraded (optionally with LED). Customers can choose between three equipment variants: LX, S and EX. While the LX is the entry-level base, the S-Trim is characterized by its sportier suspension, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a rear spoiler and chrome-plated tailpipes.

The EX equipment option includes the LED rear lights Default. There are also 17-inchers and leather seats. In the other two variants, the passengers take their place on newly covered fabric seats. In the cockpit, Kia installed a 7-inch touchscreen with color display (S and EX) and also offers the integration of Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Customers can order an emergency brake assistant, impact warning and lane departure warning as little helpers. A dynamic cornering light is also available.

Hatchback with 1.6-liter turbo

Instead of the 1st After the facelift, Kia uses an 8-liter engine with two-liter four-cylinder units that are linked to a manual six-speed gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission. With the EX equipment, the Kia Forte is powered by a four-cylinder direct injection engine. The model will be on the market in the first quarter of 2016.

A little later, the hatchback version will probably roll out to dealers. It also has a stretched grill and new headlights. There is a choice of three equipment lines for the hatchback: LX, EX and SX. The sportiest version is differentiated by other aprons, 18-inch alloy wheels, red accents and two tailpipes. There will also be an orange color package. The sports version relies on a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder and seven-speed double clutch. Two-liter engines are available for the other versions. Either manually or automatically.

Kia is currently still hiding prices and performance data.
