New Infiniti Q60 with aggressive look

T Technically, the new Infiniti is based on the shortened platform of the Infiniti Q50. Thanks to lightweight materials and high-strength steels, the coupé should lose significantly in weight. The Coupé with its typical proportions is lower and wider than its predecessor. The total length is 4,683 mm, the width including the exterior mirrors is 1,850 mm and the height is 1,385 mm. Infiniti specifies the wheelbase at 2,850 mm.

The narrow headlights correspond with the steep, almost rectangular chrome grille and form a grim front. In conjunction with the apron, the coupé seems to crouch over the street. The strongly flared wheel arches and the contoured engine hood make their contribution. The roof of the two-door model runs like a coupé and ends in a jagged bend in the rear window.

Compared to the study, hardly anything has changed in the interior of the series Q60.

The window line appears high, the window band narrow and the beads on the side strong. Thanks to the modeled lid with spoiler, the rear is arrowed and also appears aggressive with the narrow lights reaching into the flap. In the lower part of the apron, two large round tailpipes peek out.

The 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo engine exhales from them, providing 405 hp and a maximum torque of 475 Nm. The unit is coupled with a rear-biased four-wheel drive and has the Dynamic Digital Suspension system. In selected markets such as the USA, the V6 is also available in the power level with 300 hp and a torque of 400 Nm.

AnotherThe engine - which only drives the rear wheels - can be ordered as a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. It has 211 hp and 350 Nm and costs from 44,500 euros. Prices for the V6 start at 63,490 euros.

Here for comparison, the interior of the study.

Both engines (V6 and R4) are with coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission and equipped with the revised 'Direct Adaptive Steering' system. It should now give an improved steering feel and optimized feedback. Using a drive mode selector, the driver can select and define the steering settings according to his own preferences.

Infiniti Q60 as a 550 PS concept car

At the Detroit Motor Show 2015, Infiniti presented the Q60 Concept. The 4.69 meter long, 1.87 meter wide and 1.37 meter high Infiniti Q60 Concept showed a sporty coupé. The study came with strongly flared wheel arches, 21-inch light alloy wheels, wing elements behind the front wheel arches and a delicately drawn passenger compartment. The front was characterized by the curved grille and the LED main headlights. The interior was characterized by curved shapes and surfaces covered with leather and carbon.

The Infiniti Q60 Coupé from 2015.

A newly developed three-liter V6 with twin turbo charging worked under the long bonnet as was already seen in the Q80 study. There it made 550 hp and 750 Nm.

The other features of the Infiniti Q60 included fully electric steering and afully digitally adaptable operating environment. In addition, the intelligent key should be able to save settings such as seat position, temperature control, audio, telematics and navigation preferences of up to four different drivers.
