Hyundai i20 Active: India crossover for Europe

K linen cars are no longer just small cars, Here, too, customers are increasingly demanding differentiation. Hyundai is responding to customer interest and is expanding its i20 model family. The i20 and the ix20 will be joined by the i20 Active at the IAA. The crossover model is already on the market in India and will be adapted accordingly for use in Europe.

Hyundai i20 Active with new three-cylinder turbo gasoline engines

Features of the almost four-meter-long i20 Active are its all-round planking with black plastic elements, wide door protection strips, a roof rail and a roof edge spoiler as well as new aprons at the front and rear, which also contribute to the robust look with suggested underride protection elements. The C-pillar has dark covers to create the effect of a surrounding window area. The wheel arches were filled with delicious alloy rims.

For the market launch in Europe in early 2016, the Hyundai i20 Active with the new one-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 120 hp and 172 Nm torque will be added to the range. In addition, a 100 hp 1.4-liter petrol engine and a 90 hp 1.4-liter turbo diesel are also available. Only the front wheels are driven, shifting is done manually.
