D the new Hyundai Genesis Coupé gets in As part of the facelift program, only slightly modified headlights and LED daytime running lights. The new grill ensures that the face still gets a new expression. Instead of two more delicate openings, the front of the Hyundai Genesis now has a large throat.

The raised rear looks wider because of the further apart tailpipes, the rear lights have only been slightly redesigned.

But the new Hyundai Genesis Coupé does not only attach great importance to more sportiness on the outside: The former 303 hp 3.8-liter V6 engine now delivers 348 thanks to direct injection Hp and develops a maximum torque of 295 Newton meters at 5,300 rpm. This should enable the sprint from zero to 100 km /h in around five seconds; the maximum speed is electronically blocked at around 240 km /h.

Four-cylinder increases output by 70 hp

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder also increases its output: thanks to the new turbocharger, instead of the previous 214 hp, it now generates 274 hp and a maximum torque of 260 Newton meters at 2,000 rpm.

This will be standard Hyundai Genesis Coupe delivered with a manual six-speed manual transmission. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also available for the new generation. With the automatic, shift paddles on the steering wheel are also moved into the cockpit. The surcharge list also includes leather upholstery, a start button, seat heating and a premium audio system. The 3.5 mm jack and the USB connection for the audio system, on the other hand, are not subject to a surcharge.

ESP is also standard equipment - and because the sporty driver is often annoyed by the stability program well means, it can be adjusted in three stages in the Hyundai Genesis: The driver can choose between fully active, partially active or inactive.

In the new Hyundai Genesis Coupé, it should mainly be about driving fun, but not only: The blue-link system should take care of the communicative and user-friendly part. It allows dictation of text messages, web downloads, navigation and the monthly vehicle report.

The new Hyundai Genesis Coupé will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show in March and later this yearthen also come onto the European market. Prices have not yet been announced.
