There can be air in the brake system accumulate. This means that the brake pedal does not respond well or the driver has to step harder to stop.
US models only affected
344,000 Odyssey and 68,000 Element from model years 2007 and 2008 are affected. According to information from Honda is an incorrectly installed component in the electronic stability system to blame for the misery. The problem crept on over months or even years. It remained open at first whether cars in other countries would also suffer from the error. However, vehicles in Europe are expressly excluded from the recall. The owners of the affected vehicles will be written to from April and asked to bring their vehicle to the workshops.
Honda has already had to recall almost a million vehicles worldwide this year. In one half of the cars, parts of the airbag flying around threaten to injure or even kill the occupants. The other half can lead to dangerous short circuits on the window regulators. Two people are said to have already died from the defects.
