D as Honda Project 2 & 4 was created in Collaboration between Honda's motorcycle design center in Asaka and Honda's automobile design center in Wako, Japan.
A small formula monocoque with free-standing wheels in the classic Honda motorsport look was drawn, reminiscent of the 1965 Honda RA272 formula racer. The Project only has a single seat on the left, positioned fairly freely between the wheels. The racer is 3,040 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 995 mm high. The weight should be only 405 kg.
The subline 'powered by RC213V' clearly refers to the drive that Honda has taken over from what is currently its most exclusive two-wheeler and installed as a mid-engine.
In Project 2 & 4, the 215 hp version is used, the delivers its power to the rear wheels via a six-speed dual clutch transmission.
