H enning Solberg was born on January 9, 1973 and is two years older Brother of the ex-world rally champion Petter Solberg. Henning Solberg secured the title of Norwegian Rally Champion five times in a row between 1999 and 2003. He made his first appearance on the international stage in 1998 with a Ford Escort WRC and a Toyota Corolla WRC. In 2004, Solberg started in a Peugeot 206 for the Bozian team before hiring a Ford semi-works driver at M-Sport in 2005. In 2006, Henning Solberg switched to a Peugeot 307 WRC, which he rode in the rally Turkey took its first WRC podium finish. In 2007 he moved to the Stobart VK M-Sport Ford Rally Team. Since then he has finished on the podium in four other rallies. Solberg began his career in rally cross. In 2010 he parted ways with his long-time co-driver Cato Menkerud. The new co-pilot is the Austrian Ilka Minor.
