H ennessey from Texas is known for his powerful conversions of various US cars. Certain modifications are necessary so that these can also fully exploit their potential on German roads. The engines have to be fully gas-proof for high-speed driving, the cooling system has to be enlarged accordingly and the software has to be optimized. In addition, the sports exhaust system must be adapted to European legal requirements. All these conversions are carried out by Rüffer Performance in Melle.

Upgrade to over 1,000 PS possible

The 6th , Hennessey upgraded the Camaro's 2-liter V8 engine with a supercharger. There are also new cylinder heads, new camshafts, a charge air cooler and a sports exhaust system. In total, these modifications should increase the power from 432 hp to 700 hp and 850 Nm. The Camaro HPE700 is said to go from zero to 100 km /h in 3.4 seconds and reach the 200 km /h mark in 10.1 seconds. The forward thrust is stopped at a regulated 320 km /h. The HPE1000 variant is optionally available with a whopping 1,015 PS and 1,350 Nm.

The chassis of the Camaro is optimized with fully adjustable damper elements and new springs. The wheel arches fill wider, three-part light alloy rims that leave enough space for a larger braking system. This relies on 400 mm discs and eight-piston calipers on the front axle.
