A us is the iconic GTI meeting of yore It has long been an established stage for the VW Group to show new models from the core brand and its daughters. This year, for example, the Wolfsburg-based company is presenting the Golf GTI Clubsport, a near-series study of the upcoming special model for the 40th anniversary of the compact sports car. In addition to some external identifying features, the clubsport will stand out from the normal GTI models with an increase in output to 265 hp. At the push of a button, up to 290 PS should be available for a short time via the boost function - i.e. more power than the Seat Leon Cupra 280.

But with that not enough. With the Golf GTE Sport, the Wolfsburg-based company has another hot topic in the fire. The show car, which was also designed for the PS4 racing simulation Gran Turismo, will be presented to the public for the first time and driven onto the stage personally by World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo and two electric motors on the front and rear axles drive all the wheels, the exterior reveals design details of the upcoming Golf or Scirocco models.
The Volkswagen Apprentices were once again allowed to put their own vehicle on the wheels for the appearance at Wörthersee. The result is called GTI Dark Shine and amazes with 395 PS and 487 Nm torque.
The Skoda youngsters were also able to show what they can do and present a smart pickup based on the Fabia with the Skoda Funstar. With the rowdy TT study Clubsport Turbo, Audi grants a first glimpse of an RS model and new engine technology.
Meanwhile, tuner Oettinger uses the five-cylinder Audi RS3 and plants it in the current Golf R. The 500R delivers 518 hp and puts a maximum torque of 680 Nm on the drive shaft.
