Chances for the Jaguar XE station wagon are not bad
D he car should be ready for the market in 2018. However, it has not yet been decided whether the model will operate under the Jaguar brand or whether it will come onto the market as a Land Rover. The British opted for an off-road vehicle because they have enough space there for the battery technology. The first plug-in hybrid model is due to hit the market in 2017 at the latest.
There is also movement at Jaguar when it comes to station wagons. The manufacturer's important German subsidiary is campaigning for a station wagon version of the new XE, which will be launched in June. 'If Jaguar wants to serve the important business customers in Germany in the future, the brand cannot ignore the station wagon,' said a Jaguar insider. Apparently the chances are not bad that the headquarters will build the derivative, because Jaguar wants to expand its position especially in the important market of Germany.
