D he Ford Transit Courier is based on the Fiesta architecture and aims as compact commercial vehicle for inner-city delivery and distribution traffic. Ford is thus entering the compact van segment for the first time. There is a choice of a closed van with 2 seats or a van as a station wagon with additional rear seats that can be folded down in a 60:40 ratio.

One-liter three-cylinder also used in the Ford Transit Courier
The award-winning EcoBoost three-cylinder engine is also finding its way into the Ford Transit Courier. In addition to the one-liter gasoline engine with 100 hp, there are 2 diesel engines to choose from: the smaller 1.5-liter TDCi with 75 hp and the 1.6-liter TDCi with 95 hp. All engines are equipped with start-stop systems as standard.
As a van, combined with a standard partition, the Ford Transit Courier has a storage volume of 2.3 cubic meters and can load up to 660 kg. Its loading length of 1.62 meters extends to 2.59 meters with the front passenger seat folded.
In the interior, the driver has access to storage compartments in the roof area, drawers under the front seats and a console for storing A4 documents sufficient filing system available. A docking area in the dashboard allows the driver to safely store, connect and charge electronic devices.
The Transit Connect has also been renewed
The new Transit Connect will also celebrate its market launch in 2014. The commercial vehicle based on the Focus architecture is available with either a short or a longer wheelbase. Its cargo space is between 2.86 and 3.57 cubic meters. At 945 kg, it can handle almost 300 kg more payload than its little brother, the Transit Courier, and the longer version can transport objects up to 3.5 meters in length.
In addition to the engines for its little brother, the Ford Transit Courier, the 1.6-liter TDCi with 115 hp and the large 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine with 150 hp are also available.
Ford Transit Courier and Transit Connect will not be available to dealers until spring 2014. Therefore, prices are not yet known.
