F ord has completely redesigned its Ranger pickup model. The packhorse is available in 180 countries around the world. The copies intended for Europe roll off the assembly line in South Africa. Now the Ranger is also rolling to German dealers. The latest generation of the Ranger has rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, two new turbo diesels with a displacement of 2.2 and 3.2 liters, the three body versions single, extra and double cab, and the four equipment lines XL, XLT, Limited and Wildtrak . The new model is available in the price list with rear-wheel drive, a single cabin and in XL equipment from 24,978 euros. The comparable all-wheel drive version costs from 26,882 euros.
Ford Ranger with a trailer load of up to 3.3 tonnes
The 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel has a choice of 125 hp and 330 Nm or 150 HP and 375 Nm. The 3.2-liter five-cylinder has an output of 200 hp and a maximum torque of 470 Nm. All engines are equipped with a manual six-speed gearbox as standard, and a six-speed automatic transmission is also available for the two more powerful versions.
Depending on the drive configuration, the new Ford Ranger offers a payload of up to 1,260 kilograms and a maximum trailer load of up to 3,350 kilograms.
The extra cabin is only available with the 2.2-liter and costs from 28,667 euros. The 3.2-liter can only be combined with the double cabin and is in the price list for at least 38,425 euros.
