Ford Mustang configurator glows: V8 and four-cylinder equally popular

B When choosing a motor, two bearings of the same size face each other. Around half of the configurator users chose the 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 314 hp. The other half chose the version with the 418 hp 5.0-liter V8.

Germans and British are into the V8 -Mustang

Based on the data from the online configurator, the combination of 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and 6-speed manual transmission enjoyed the greatest popularity among European buyers (37 percent).

r EcoBoost engine was most popular in Italy (61 percent), Spain (59 percent) and France (55 percent). In Germany (60 percent) and Great Britain (54 percent), however, the V8 slips into the role of favorites - two thirds of all users chose the version with manual transmission in this context. The preferred colors for the new Ford Mustang were 'Race Red' and 'Ebony Black'. The black leather interior was chosen by 61 percent of Europeans. Other popular equipment features include a navigation system including an 8-inch touchscreen and premium sound system, air-conditioned seats and parking sensors, 19-inch alloy wheels and side windows with chrome surrounds.

The new Ford Mustang is as a coupé with the 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder from 35,000 euros, the V8 costs from 40,000 euros.
