The S-Max will be sportier, the Galaxy more elegant

The Ford S-Max, by definition the sporty one among the large vans, should now appear even more dynamic. The kinetic design has been further developed for this purpose. The side window fronts are now framed by a chrome band. At the rear of the new Ford S-Max has a redesigned tailgate that has significantly wider LED taillights. The S-Max logo is now emblazoned on a wide chrome bar.

The new Ford Galaxy has been transformed in a similar way. Here, too, the bonnet has been redesigned and the bumper redesigned. The integrated roof rails and the LD rear lights are also new. Chrome accents and body extensions in body color round off the new look.

The maximum speed is given as 221 km /h (Galaxy: 217 km /h). The average consumption should be 8.1 liters (189 g /km CO2).

The revised four-cylinder common rail turbodiesel with 115 PS /300Nm, 140 PS /320 Nm and 163 PS /340 Nm compete and all meet the Euro 5 emissions standard. The average consumption of diesels, which are coupled with a manual six-speed gearbox as standard, should be 5.7 liters (152 g /km CO2).The two-liter petrol engine produces 145 hp and 190 Nm of torque.

Another new feature is the six-speed dual-clutch transmission, baptized by Ford PowerShift, which the turbo petrol engine carries as standard and which is available in the two powerful diesels Option is available.
