Subscriptions & booklets

A uch star warriors drive four-wheel drive. At least when the off-roader is as rude as the new Ford F 150 Halo Sandcat. For the Halo game series, especially for the premiere of the latest part Halo 5 - Guardians, Ford has built an extra-martial F-150 in cooperation with a game console manufacturer, which is used by the fictional 'United Nations Space Command'.

Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat

Good to know that pickups will still be in use in a distant alien future - at least if they are as frilly as the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat. It rolled off the assembly line as a double cab with the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 and FX4 off-road package. This is joined by a cheerful olive camouflage paint finish.

The Baja XTR kit from the specialist supplier Addictive Desert Design was installed. The package includes Fox racing dampers, a new leaf spring package on the rear axle, a robust full floater axle and 17-inch wheels with coarse off-road tires. There is also a new pipe bumper with an integrated winch, steps and a bracket on the loading area. The series bumper was also replaced at the rear by a more solid pipe system. Additional LED lamps in two fat light bars complement the neat appearance of the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat.

The single item is of course not for sale, but Ford USA has come up with something new at the same time: model cars for themselves to press. In the new 3D shop interested parties can order finished models, including the Ford F-150 Raptor or download the construction file to print it out on your own 3D printer.
