With his start-up company, the Frenchman developed a brake dust extractor for disc brake systems in three years. The suction cup is mounted with its trunk directly in front of the brake calipers. Like a bicycle dynamo, it is driven by a friction wheel that runs along with the brake disc. The fine dust particles sucked in are caught in a filter. It has to be emptied after around 20,000 kilometers.

Rocca-Serra puts the costs for a series application of its brake dust extractor at around 50 euros. After a two-year test phase, production has already started. The first models from the premium segment should be equipped with the vacuum cleaner as early as 2016. In addition to the car manufacturer, the French railways have also discovered the brake dust extractor for themselves and want to equip various trains and the Paris Metro with it.
