Ferrari 488 GTB with completely new aerodynamics

The visual changes to the Ferrari 488 GTB concern before especially the front and the air intakes on the flanks. Similar to the historical model, the 308 GTB, the inlet ducts in the sides start in the doors, but grow to enormous proportions in front of the rear wheels. A tightly drawn wing then divides the airflow. The air inlets in the front have also been enlarged. In addition, the cooling air can escape via the hood directly behind the front apron. A double spoiler lip is supposed to increase downforce. Vortex channels on the underbody, a new rear spoiler and active aerodynamic elements on the diffuser all pursue the same goal. In order to give the diffuser more space, the tailpipes had to move upwards. Overall, the Ferrari 488 GTB is said to have gained 50% in downforce compared to the 458 and also to have significantly reduced aerodynamic drag.

But Ferrari has also improved on the electronic helpers. The drift assistant has been further refined and, in addition to traction control and the electric differential, also networked with the electronically controlled damper. New instruments and a new infotainment system have found their way into the interior of the Ferrari 488 GTB.
