Renault suspects three high-ranking executives of having passed on strategic information about its electric car program in exchange for payment. The management released the men from work at the beginning of last week with immediate effect. The complaint against unknown persons allowed the judiciary to conduct more extensive investigations, a company spokesman said in the evening that he would not file a specific complaint against the suspects.
The government in Beijing was recently 'irritated' by speculation about a possible 'Chinese trace' shown. The French secret service has started investigations, it said from government circles.
