N oh the eRuf based on the Porsche 911 and the one at the Geneva Motor Show The eRuf Greenster presented in 2009, the Stormster is already the third electric vehicle from the company based in Pfaffenhausen, Bavaria.
The complete eRuf fleet should go into series production in mid-2010
The Porsche Cayenne serves as the basis for the electric SUV. The 270 kW electric motor comes from Siemens. It is supposed to accelerate the 2,670 kilogram Stormster from zero to 100 km /h in ten seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 150 km /h in favor of a greater range. In addition, the SUV rolls on tires with optimized rolling resistance in the format 295/30 R 22. The Ruf Stormster should be able to cover up to 200 kilometers purely electrically.
The energy is supplied in lithium-ion batteries from Li Tec saved. For a full electric refueling, the Stormster call at a standard household socket should take around eight hours. At a special high-voltage filling station, the charging time should be shortened to five to six hours.
The eRuf Stormster can optionally be ordered with a special Ruf body. Ruf does not yet provide any information on prices. As a spokesman told auto-motor-und-sport.de, the starting shot for series production of all eRuf models should be given in mid-2010.
