S For the 8th time, the economic miracle weekend will take place in Pforzheim this year instead of. From noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday (October 10th), which is open for shopping, there is a folk festival atmosphere in the city center with live music, fashion shows, sausage stalls and vintage cars 50s and 60s, which are awarded in three classes: 'German Small Vehicles', 'European Sedans' and 'American Dream Cars'. In addition, the participant with the longest journey receives a special price. In recent years, many participants came in contemporary clothing and put a hot boogie woogie on the floor.

Baden Käferschlenzer celebrate at the ranch

The visitors are in the mood for the weekend at the annual meeting of the Baden Käferschlenzer on Saturday. The scene of the action is the Pfirmann Ranch on the edge of the 'Wilferdinger-Höhe' industrial park in Pforzheim. The members of the Beetle Club founded in 1985 meet here from 2 p.m. to talk gasoline over coffee and cake before the economic boom bingo starts at 6 p.m. From 8.30 p.m., the music and drinks get a little harder, the Reindeers play classic rock'n'roll with hits by Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis or Little Richards.

The next day, music continues in downtown Pforzheim. The organizers present Chris Andrews as the event's star guest. The British musician and composer became known through hits like 'Yesterday Man' and 'Pretty Belinda' and is celebrating his 50th anniversary on stage this year. The bands Free Bears, The Reindeers, Tattoo 59 and The Caputos also appear on several stages.
