The plant is to be built near the existing Nissan A2 plant in Aguascalientes. It will initially have an annual production capacity of more than 230,000 units and will provide around 3,600 jobs in 2020. Production of Infiniti vehicles is slated to begin in 2017, with the first Mercedes vehicles slated to roll off the assembly line in 2018. The new models are also to be produced in Europe and China.
