With a planned circulation of only 500 vehicles, the following applies the Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition as a coveted collector's item even before its market launch in summer.
Technology donations from the Corvette ZR1
In order to ennoble the Corvette Z06 to a Carbon Limited Edition, GM has installed the complete Brembo ceramic brake system in the special model with gray bre saddles and the Magnetic Ride chassis from the Corvette ZR1. In addition, the engine cooling has been optimized, the V8 is hidden under a special carbon cover. Also new are the 20-spoke, 19-inch alloy wheels on the front axle and 20-inch on the rear, which are covered with Michelin sports tires.
The Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition is available in orange or blue. The backgrounds of the headlights and the exterior mirrors are always black. There is also a front spoiler in the style of the ZR1, door handles in vehicle color and various carbon fiber applications. For customers who want to hit the racetrack with the Z06, GM includes a set of start numbers.
The black leather is also used in the interior contrasting stitching to match the exterior color. Special logos adorn the steering wheel, the headrests and the center console. The steering wheel, gear knob, seat center panels and armrests are wrapped in suede.
If he doesn't get a Carbon Limited Edition, GM offers the Z07 package all the technical updates of the special model for the normal Z06. In addition, the normal Z06 can be upgraded with the CFZ Z06 package, which includes numerous carbon parts for the body. Both packages and the Carbon Edition special model will go on sale in the US this summer. Prices have not yet been announced.
