No EU definition for vintage cars
According to the German legislature, a vintage car is defined by its minimum age of 30 years. The car has to be in good condition and condition and correspond to the original - bad news for tuners of old cars. In the EU there is no definition of what a classic car is - except in the customs tariff nomenclature 'Works of art, collectibles and antiques'.
The world association FIVA also specifies a minimum age of 30 years for classic cars. As in Germany, the cars must correspond to the original and be well-maintained and preserved. In addition, they should not be used on a daily basis.
