Classic car insurance: damage limitation

Despite the tempting basic tariffs for bare liability, you should start with a car value of 5,000 euros saddle up the partial coverage. Even the breakage of a windshield - often a procurement problem for inexpensive everyday classics like Peugeot 404 or Opel Rekord C - or a slashed top on a Triumph Spitfire or Fiat 850 Spider amortize the additional cover.

Insurance of the restoration value

The basic rule also applies that the amount of risk provision should be in relation to the value of the classic. Here, an insurance of the restoration value protects against a bitter loss of capital because they are undervalued.

Youngtimers from 1982 are the stepchildren of the insurance scene, cheap power limousines in poor condition are a deterrent. State 2 and a minimum value of 4,000 euros apply to most insurers as stricter conditions for the coveted special tariff.
