
I n Geneva, the Citroen sister brand Peugeot already had a twin brother for the Berlingo Multispace, the partner Tepee, presented in a purely electric version. Now Citroen is pulling the same.
The Berlingo Multispace is now also available as a purely electric version. The Multispace is powered by a 49 kW and 200 Nm electric motor on the front axle. The lithium-ion battery storage is located in a subframe in the area of the rear axle and has a capacity of 22.5 kWh. This should give the Berlingo a range of up to 170 km. Citroen states that the charging time at the conventional socket is between 8.5 and 15 hours. With fast charging, 50% of the capacity is available after 15 minutes, 80% is achieved in 30 minutes.
The electric version of the five-seater Citroen Berlingo Multispace should also have a load volume of 675 to 3,000 liters.
Citroen gives a guarantee of 8 years or 100,000 km on the battery and 5 years or 50,000 km on the electric drive train. The Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace will go on sale from May. Prices have not yet been announced.
