The small car triumvirate has been manufactured in the joint plant in Kolin in the Czech Republic since 2005. For the 2012 model year, the trio is facing a comprehensive facelift, with the individual models being adapted to the new design language of the individual brands. Only the front of the vehicle is modified. There are also changes to the equipment. The standard engine continues to be the one-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 68 hp and 93 Nm torque. The chassis was trimmed for more comfort. Improved insulation should reduce the interior noise of small cars. Citroen C1, Peugeot will go on sale 1 07 and Toyota Aygo in March.
Toyota Aygo with the widest Drive range
The new, wider radiator grille on the Toyota Aygo now has a chrome clasp. The lower air inlet has been significantly enlarged and is now trapezoidal. In its corners, LED daytime running light strips now spread out. There is also space for round fog lights in the new front apron. The new front gives the Toyota Aygo an overhang that has grown by 15 millimeters. The other dimensions remained unchanged. Toyota refreshed the interior of the Aygo with new color combinations and a new steering wheel. Optional audio systems with Bluetooth, USB and iPod interfaces are also new.
The three-cylinder in the Aygo is available in two versions. The normal variant should consume an average of 4.4 liters per 100 kilometers, the CO2 emissions are 102 g /km. The eco version with tires with optimized rolling resistance and a longer third gear should come to 99 g /km and a consumption of 4.3 liters. The version still offered with the automated manual transmission consumes an average of 4.5 liters.
Citroen C1 with economy engine as standard
The 99 g /km engine variant works as standard with the revised Citroen C1 under the newly shaped bonnet, which had to give the brand logo to the now higher front mask. The radiator throat was redesigned, provided with a chrome frame on top and backed with a honeycomb grille. The new nose is flanked by indicated air shafts that house vertical LED daytime running lights and round fog lights. New as an option in the Citroen C1 is the automated transmission known from the Aygo with shift paddles on the steering wheel.The interior and the audio system offer were also refreshed in the French. ESP is standard on board, a parking aid is optional.
Peugeot 107 with a new brand face
Also the one Peugeot 107 as the third party has been refreshed . The new front mask now has a clearly two-part radiator grille. The chrome-plated crossbar was completely dispensed with. LED daytime running light strips and round fog lights underneath have been added. The brand logo is now emblazoned on the bonnet and does not have a black background. The headlights were lengthened, the taillights darkened. The interior of the Peugeot 107 was also included draped in new colors, modernized the audio systems. The engine range includes the one-liter three-cylinder in the 99 g /km version as well as the variant with the automated manual transmission. ESP is part of the standard equipment. The prices for the new Peugeot 107 start at 9,650 euros.
