F ord has shown the way with the Mustang and for a leap in efficiency a four-cylinder packed under the hood of the pony - in addition to the still available V6 and V8 engines. Chevrolet is now following suit. The new Camaro is also available with a charged two-liter four-cylinder. But the Camaro does not turn into a saver bread roll. Half the portion makes 279 hp, provides a maximum torque of 400 Nm and is supposed to accelerate the Camaro to 60 mph (96.56 km /h) in just under 6 seconds.

Rear end, narrower taillights and a beefier rear apron. In the interior, the dashboard has been revised, the controls have been rearranged and everything has been focused even more on the driver. The mechanical handbrake had to give way to an electronic one. The multimedia and infotainment systems are state-of-the-art.

On the chassis side, the wheel suspensions have been revised and the braking systems reinforced. The stoppers come from Brembo. The ZL1 top version has a Magnetic Ride damper system as standard. When it comes to wheels, the Chevrolet Camaro rolls on 18 or 20 inchers, depending on the version.

GM has not yet announced a market launch date or prices.
