
D he Caravan Salon in In 2016, Düsseldorf presented the camping trends for the coming season on over 210,000 square meters. Over 590 exhibitors bring their innovations with them and whet the appetite for a camping holiday. The signs are looking good: In the first half of 2016, all records were broken in Germany with 37,103 new registrations for leisure vehicles. And the caravanning industry in Europe grew faster than in a long time in the first few months of 2016.
Twelve halls, 130 different brands
130 different brands of caravans, motorhomes and basic vehicles alone are represented in twelve halls of the Caravan Salon. Nine halls concentrate exclusively on vehicles: from cute caravan cuddles to cool camper vans to custom-made luxury motorhomes, the industry shows the full range of camping vehicles.
Two halls of the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf are full Camping accessories and components: Every motorhome enthusiast and caravaner will find what they are looking for, from awnings to extension parts to technical equipment. In Hall 7, tourism offers from guided motorhome tours to destinations and campsites expand the camping horizon.
For camping professionals and newcomers
For camping novices, the Starter -World a good start, this special exhibition celebrated its successful premiere at the Caravan Salon in the past year. In 2016, too, visitors can find out which vehicle suits them, regardless of manufacturer or brand. In addition, industry professionals give tips on the function and handling of on-board technology and recommend travel routes.
A classic car exhibition and the tram tour cinema are also to arouse the desire for motorized vacation at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2016. There is also an e-bike course and a large competition with a caravan and a motorhome as the main prize. Several locations offer special campaigns and childcare offers for children.
Arriving with your own camper
Those who want to travel with their own camper will find over 3,500 parking spaces for caravans and motorhomes in the large car park P1 - So you can put your own bed right next to the caravan salon or meet new camper friends in the evening. The seats are booked up quickly, the trade fair operators recommend reservations at the ticket shop.
The day ticket costs 15 euros for adults; Schoolchildren, students, pensioners and Caravan Salon Club members pay 11 euros, the ticket for children (6 to 12 years) costs 7 euros. If you buy tickets online in advance, you save one euro, and the tickets from the online presale are valid for 2 days.
