GM Cadillac XTS Concept at the Detroit Motor Show 2010

With a length of 5.17 meters, the Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept right between the DTS and STS series. The width of the XTS, which is available on the D Etroit Motor Show makes its debut, 1.90 meters, height 1.50 meters. With a wheelbase of 2.84 meters, passengers should also find enough space.
XTS: packed full of luxury and technology
In the concept car, which is shown as a platinum variant and thus the upcoming top model, Cadillac has integrated all imaginable automotive luxury and lots of communication and entertainment functions.
In addition to a comprehensive entertainment system, displays with LED technology and a retractable touchscreen for the navigation system, so-called hidden controls for the interior concept. These are almost invisible until they are needed. These are embedded in a landscape of fine leather and fine wood.
Cadillac also turns away from the classic notchback shape in terms of the lines. The XTS has a coupé-like line with a roof reaching far back and a short, high trunk. The XTS face, on the other hand, takes up the classic Cadillac elements such as upright headlights, here with LED technology and the wide chrome radiator grille. The wheel arches are filled with 20-inch alloy wheels.
Hybrid drive with 354 hp
Cadillac also relies on future technologies for the drive. A 3.6-liter V6 with gasoline direct injection, which was connected to an electric motor, beats under the bonnet. The lithium-ion battery can also be charged at any conventional socket. The total output of the hybrid drive, which drives all four wheels, is given by GM as 354 hp, the torque is 400 Nm.
The Cadillac XTS also features an electronically controlled, adaptive chassis, ABS and ESP. GM has not yet given any information about when the XTS will go into series production.
