W if he sees the new Buick Regal as a European, he immediately says: the I know that this is the new Opel Insignia or the new Vauxhall Insignia. Right. Buick uses almost 1: 1 at Rüsselsheimer. The new Buick Regal is even made on the same lines as the Insignia in Rüsselsheim.
There are only noticeable changes to the brand logos and the design of the radiator grille. In terms of equipment, the Buick can sometimes go its own, more American ways. There are also differences in naming. The Insignia Grand Sport is called Buick Regal Sportback, the normal station wagon Insignia Sports Tourer is not reflected in the Buick program, but the Insignia Country Tourer is allowed to make a career in the USA as Regal Tour X.
Only available engine The new shelf is initially a two-liter, four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 260 hp and 352 Nm of torque, which sends its power to the front wheels via a nine-speed automatic. In the optional all-wheel drive version, the torque increases to 400 Nm, but the automatic transmission only has 8 gears. The Tour X relies exclusively on the all-wheel drive variant. Later a 3.6-liter V6 is to be submitted, which brings it to 315 hp and 382 Nm. The V6 is basically combined with all-wheel drive.
In Australia the new Insignia will be marketed as the Holden Commodore.
