T echnically, the new Buick Enclave is closely related to its sister models GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse related. While the Acadia has been shrunk with the generation change, the Enclave, like the Traverse, has been allowed to increase in size. The wheelbase increases by 5 cm to 3.07 meters, the total length increases to 5.19 meters. Above all, the legroom in the third row of seats is said to have increased. Rows two and three can be completely folded down to create a level loading area.
The new look is characterized by the lowered roof line, the flatter windshield, the extended wheelbase and the resulting changed proportions, as well as the new radiator grille in the current Buick -Look.
The only drive is a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine with 309 hp and 353 Nm of torque. The basic version uses front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option. One way or another the nine-speed automatic gearbox is used.
The standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera, seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a collision warning system, rear cross traffic warning, lane departure warning and lane departure warning. The infotainment offer includes smartphone integration and internet access.
The prices for the new Enclave, which will go on sale in the US in autumn 2017, should start at around 42,000 dollars.
