D he Middle East is an important market for Brabus, but also a market with its very own taste. At the Dubai Motor Show, Brabus has now presented the Rocket in the Desert Gold Edition - and the name says it all.
Orient- Excess in gold and black
The special model of the Rocket has a special paint finish in 'Desert Gold', from which the visible carbon fiber components (front spoiler lip, front apron attachments, fender ventilation, exterior mirror cover, rear spoiler and diffuser) stand out particularly well. In addition, all chrome parts were painted black. The 21-inch alloy wheels, also painted black, with 255/35 tires at the front and 295/30 at the rear, have been upgraded with gold trim.
The tailpipes were also kept black. The interior revels in gold-colored and black leather, peppered with gold contrasting stitching and special quilting, as well as gold logos and plaques. The headliner has black Alcantara. In addition, around 350 interior parts were coated in the same color as the exterior paint.
The technology of the Rocket is well known: based on the twelve-cylinder S-Class, the desert racer has a biturbo V12 engine that has been expanded to 6.3 liters. which brings it to a maximum output of 900 hp and a peak torque of 1,500 Nm. In the vehicle, this value is electronically limited to 1,200 Nm. In addition, the seven-speed automatic has been reinforced and the rear axle has a limited-slip differential.
Brabus Rocket Desert Gold Edition over 350 km /h
If the sons of the desert want, the Rocket swings in 3.7 seconds to 100, 200 km /h are reached in 9.1 seconds, the top speed is over 350 km /h.
A new control module for the air suspension lowers the golden S-Class 15 mm. The sound of the exhaust system, which is equipped with a flap control, also changes at the push of a button.
