
I n Europe, the BMW X1 has its claim already defined in the compact SUV segment, and the small Bavarian should also be present on the US market from September. To prepare the US public for the new arrival, the revised BMW X1 is celebrating its world premiere at the New York Auto Show.
More paintwork for the BMW X1
The BMW X1 has a lot of new features but not to offer. The front and rear aprons have been redrawn and the proportion of components in the vehicle color has been increased. The main headlights of the BMW X1 have also been redesigned. The rear, silver-colored underride protection element has been given a new surface structure.
New surfaces and materials are also intended to enhance the interior of the BMW X1. Newly designed control elements and modified applications are also intended to provide more value. The air vents are now in high-gloss black, the light switch has a chrome clasp and the selector lever and cup holder have been provided with electroplated bezels.
The engine portfolio for the US market is limited to the 306 hp turbo in-line six-cylinder in combination with All-wheel drive and the 245 hp two-liter, four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
In Germany only four-cylinder
For the first time, the BMW Lines xLine and Sport Line with coordinated design and equipment features are being offered as alternatives to the basic equipment. Both packages cost 1,900 euros extra (exception sDrive 20d: 1,250 euros). The BMW X1 is particularly sporty with the M Sport package, which costs between 4,200 and 4,600 euros depending on the engine.
